Children's PIR Experience

Participants will experience a behind-the-scenes look at the Betty Ford Children's Program. During the four-day process they will more clearly understand how children are affected by the family disease of alcoholism and other drug addiction. After learning about the BFC model, participants will be introduced to a variety of proven tools and techniques which initiate the healing process for children and families. They will engage in hands-on activities which will enhance their skills in effectively working with kids in a group setting.

This informative skill–building experience is designed to deepen participants' strengths in helping children from addicted families. However, in the best interests of the children, no time will actually be spent with them.

The PIR: Focus on Children is designed for, but not limited to, professionals and students from the fields of healthcare, education, social work, law and management.
