Resources For Professionals Working With Kids
Dear Professional,
"When we honestly ask ourselves which persons in our lives mean the most to us, we often find it is those who, instead of giving much advice, solutions, or cures, have chosen rather to share our pain and touch our wounds with a gentle and tender hand."
Henri Nouwen
Welcome to the Betty Ford Center Children's Program and Training Academy. We celebrate the difference you are making in the lives of the children, adults and families you serve. We would love to be a resource for you.
Our unique prevention program, specifically designed for seven- through twelve-year-olds from families hurt by the disease of alcoholism and other drug addiction, is offered multiple times each month on the Betty Ford Center campus in Southern California, throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex in Texas and in Denver, Colorado. We are always looking for more children and families to serve. Our staffs in California, Texas and Colorado will be glad to answer your questions and register your clients for an upcoming Children's Program.
Once youngsters and their parents complete the intensive three- or four-day process staff give each family continuing care recommendations. We are always looking for quality clinicians to send children, parents and families back to for ongoing care. Since we serve children from throughout the United States and beyond, perhaps you would like to become part of our referral base.
Here we offer you many books and resources which may assist you in your work. There are many exciting training opportunities available through our Children's Program Training Academy.
Please feel free to contact us if we can ever be of service. We appreciate the difference you make every day.
